Headlining The Mr Kyps Stage, June 30th

Mr Kyps are proud to present Noisettes as headliners of this year’s Bournemouth Live main stage. The band who supported Muse on their 2006 arena tour will be performing material from their critically-acclaimed new album, What’s The Time Mr Wolf, released February 2007 both sides of the Atlantic.

Schizophrenically contradictive: one minute rough, raw and explosively dramatic, the next, detached, calm and serene; The Noisettes have been around since 2003, releasing two previous EP's and touring across the United States and Europe behind the likes of Bloc Party, Mystery Jets, Tom Vek and Babyshambles. Indeed it is their frenetic live show and relentless touring which has propelled them forward, and they’ll be appearing at Bournemouth Live following an amazing 3 appearances at Glastonbury festival the previous weekend.

This London three-piece mix lashings of creativity with infectious charisma and the desire to leave a lasting impression of a style that couldn’t be attributed to anyone else. Propelled by singer Shingai Shoniwa, a proclaimed cross between Billie Holiday and an Amazonian Warrior, the Noisettes’ shows are soaring in accolade for their brash nature and the front girl’s weakness for tribal face paint and cartwheels across the stage.

Held roughly in place by her right hand men, drummer Jamie and guitarist Dan, the result is a fantastically unpredictable cacophony of bouncing neo-blues which has left audiences dazzled and transfixed “like a group of seven year olds being told the greatest story in the world” (rockfeedback.com review).

As one reviewer of their sold out January show at CuRioSiTy @ Mr Kyps aptly put it: The Noisettes are an event.

“A juggernaut-esque live act” Drowned in Sound

“Exhilarating and Explosive” New York Times

“One of 10 ones to watch” Rolling Stone Magazine
